World Poetry Day

Title: Brown Eyes

When you date two girls with brown eyes,
You tend to learn new languages everyday.

One pair turns red when she wants me,
And one shimmers like water.

When you date more than one person,
They merge some times and surge some times.

One brings the night alive,
And one brings the day together.

And here I am,
Being torn and put together,
Being heart broken and feeling loved all at once.

Do you feel loved?
Do you love me at all?
Why do you love me?
When do I see you next?
Don’t go.

Trust breaks, walls grow stronger,
Faith builds and brings some walls down crashing.

Somedays we struggle,
In this new form of love,
Taking an old form of exploration,
But then there are -

Two pairs of brown eyes,
Looking at me,
Teaching me languages,
Breaking barriers.

And one pair of brown eyes,
Looking at them,
Learning languages,
Building bridges.
